Desk job, stone shoulders —
how often is often enough?
The most common question after a first session. There is no number that fits everyone, but there are three signals that show your own interval within a couple of months — and without buying a ten-session card.
Why there is no universal number
«Once a month» appears on a lot of websites because it sells well and frightens nobody. In practice people are far apart: twelve hours at a screen on an old chair is one thing, sitting a lot but swimming three times a week is another. The interval depends on the load, on what you do between appointments, and on how fast your tissue slides back to its old state.
What ten years suggest: most people with desk jobs land somewhere between every two and every six weeks. Those who come more often usually do not come because of their back — the hour is simply the one point in the week where the head goes quiet. Perfectly good reason, just a different one.
Three signals
How long it lasts
If the lightness is gone in two days, the gap is too long or the cause sits elsewhere. Two to three weeks means you found your interval.
Where it starts again
Always the same spot, always the same weekday? That is the workstation, not the muscle. A different chair beats a shorter interval.
How the session starts
If I begin from scratch every time, the gap was too long. If I can go deep immediately, the interval is right.
The first weeks are closer together
When somebody arrives with a very tight neck and shoulder area, the first two or three appointments are usually closer — roughly every one to two weeks. Not because a package needs selling, but because only part of it can be worked in a single hour without turning unpleasant. After that the gap widens, often to three to six weeks. That is the usual course, not a promise: some people stay at two weeks, others come twice a year and are perfectly happy.
What matters more than the session
Honestly: one hour every three weeks against forty hours at a desk is an unequal fight. The people whose interval really stretched from two weeks to five or six almost always did something boring — raised the monitor to eye level, started standing up twice a day, changed the chair. That is not health advice, it is an observation from the room.
Why there are no packages
A ten-session card makes you come on the seller's schedule instead of your own. I work alone, every session is paid separately, and if you do not need one right now, you do not need one. There is also no sales conversation at the end of the hour.
If you want predictability without paying in advance, there is a simple version: at the end of a session we pencil in a date for the next one, and it can be moved or cancelled for free at any time.

Frequent questions
How often should I get a massage with a desk job?
There is no universal number. Most people with desk jobs land between every two and every six weeks. The clearest signal is how long the lightness lasts after a session.
How many sessions do I need at the start?
Usually the first two or three are closer together, every one to two weeks, because only part of a very tight area can be worked in one hour. After that the gap widens. It is not a package and not a commitment.
Do you sell packages or memberships?
No. Every session is paid separately, there are no ten-session cards, and there is no sales conversation after the massage.
40 or 60 minutes for desk tension?
Forty-five minutes for 60 € is enough when it really is neck and upper back. The 70 € hour makes sense if legs, hips and lower back belong in the session too.
